Problem
Few equity stories are harder to tell than a clinical biotech's. With investor communications spread across separate website, email and database systems, the company had limited visibility into who on its register was receiving and engaging with updates. Starpharma needed a more effective way to simplify complex milestones, engage shareholders beyond its largest investors, and gain clear insights into shareholder engagement and sentiment.
Impact
Since moving to InvestorHub in September 2025, Starpharma has run a milestone-packed year through one hub: new partnership agreements with Genentech and Radiopharm Theranostics, and a first-in-human Phase 1 study on track for H2 2026, supported by positive preclinical data and FDA alignment on the clinical pathway. Its lean, in-house IR team communicates every announcement to the full register and keeps an engaged shareholder base that continues to grow and outpaces similar market-cap peers.
For a company with a story as technical as ours, being able to reach and engage our whole register is critical to building long-term shareholder support.

How they did it.
Three moves, in the order Starpharma made them.
- 1
Communicate at scale
Rather than repeating the same updates one investor at a time, Starpharma distributes every ASX announcement directly to its register and amplifies it with synchronised email. The company also engages directly with shareholders through Investor Hub's Q&A platform, ensuring company updates are clearly understood and fostering two-way communication with the broader register.

- 2
Add context with video
The team pairs technical newsflow with accessible video, from CEO updates to explainer content, held in one central video library that helps the whole market follow a complex clinical story.

Understand the register
An automated report each month shows shareholder growth, register movements, engagement, and top buyers and sellers, giving Starpharma and its board a single, repeatable view of who is coming onto the register and how the base is behaving.

The flywheel
Each turn makes the next one easier.
None of these are needle moving by themselves, but together and over time they combine and grow on each other to make each move more and more impactful.
- Attract
- Reach the whole register directly, rather than the twenty holders who take the calls. More of the register hears from you, so more of it can respond.
- Understand
- Every open, read, click and question is a signal about who is actually paying attention, and to what. The register stops being a list of names.
- Engage
- Answer what shareholders actually asked, while they are still asking it. That earns the next open, which is what makes the next turn sharper than this one.
Which is why the wheel doesn’t just keep turning, it gets better at turning. The register you engage this quarter is the register you understand next quarter.
