How ValiRx uses InvestorHub to communicate a complex pipeline to a specialist investor base.

Building trust through transparency in clinical-stage biotech: ValiRx's retail shareholders, specialist biotech investors and healthcare-focused funds expect regular, substantive updates — and the hub has become the company's primary channel for delivering them at scale.

Problem

ValiRx is a clinical-stage life sciences company developing therapeutics for cancer and women's health, with an investor base that has very specific questions about pipeline progress. Like a lot of AIM biotech companies, its investor communication was fragmented: RNS went out, the website was updated periodically, and there were occasional investor events — but there was no single place where an investor could find everything, from the latest news and the pipeline to presentations and share price information.

Solution

The hub gives ValiRx that destination. Alongside formal announcements, the team publishes plain-English updates linked to each RNS, answers investor questions through public Q&A, and hosts results briefings and pipeline webinars — with recordings that stay on the hub afterwards.

Impact

Investors now land on a destination that genuinely reflects the company as it is today, not as it was six months ago. Technical disclosure and explanation sit side by side, recurring Q&A themes show the team where the communication gaps are, and webinar recordings let investors who couldn't attend live — and new shareholders who discover the company later — catch up.

The Hub has given us that destination. We now have somewhere we can point people to that genuinely reflects the company as it is today, not as it was six months ago when we last updated the corporate site.

How they did it

  1. 1

What was the situation before InvestorHub, and what changed?

Like a lot of AIM biotech companies, our investor communication was fragmented. RNS went out, we updated our website periodically, and we did occasional investor events. But there was no single place where an investor could come and find everything — the latest news, our pipeline, presentations, share price information. The Hub has given us that destination. We now have somewhere we can point people to that genuinely reflects the company as it is today, not as it was six months ago when we last updated the corporate site.

  2. 2

Your pipeline involves quite technical science — VAL201, VAL301, Inaphaea BioLabs. How do you use the platform to make that accessible?

The updates function has been really valuable for this. Alongside our formal announcements, we publish regular content updates that explain what's happening in the pipeline in plain terms. That might be a summary of what a trial phase means in practice, or context around a partnering agreement we've signed. It sits separately from the RNS but is linked to it, so investors get the technical disclosure and the explanation side by side. We've also found that the Q&A functionality helps us understand where the gaps are in our communications. If we're getting the same question about a particular compound repeatedly, that tells us we need to do a better job explaining it.

  3. 3

How do you use webinars, and what's the feedback been?

Results briefings and pipeline updates hosted through the Hub have worked really well for us. The clinical-stage biotech investor base wants access to management, and webinars give us a way to provide that without the logistics overhead of an in-person event. We get a reasonable volume of attendees and the ability to take questions live or asynchronously. The fact that the recordings stay on the Hub afterwards is important too. Investors who couldn't attend live can still watch, and new shareholders who discover us later can catch up.
