I was reminded of this quote at one of Cameron Schwab's round-tables this week. No listed companies there, but a lot of elite sports CEOs. Elite sport and listed life have a lot in common: public scoreboard, high media exposure, vested interests and distractions from "the job".

In listed life this shows up as short reports, down-ramping, conflicts amongst shareholders and advisors, board spills and liquidity... or the lack thereof.
