What if an SPP only took 24 hours?

SPPs usually drag on for weeks after a placement, exposing companies to price drag and uncertainty. A first-principles look at why the long subscription period is redundant and what it would take to run an SPP in a single day.

One of my long term goals is to enable listed companies to run an SPP alongside a placement.

Having helped facilitate over 2,000 raises, I have often asked the question, "why do SPPs take so long?" From where I sit, the main reason we stick to two-week exposure periods is redundant: physical post. It is 2024, we are all online, do we really need such a long subscription period? What is stopping us from running 24 hour SPPs?

And if we can keep it to 24 hours, it can then be run at the same time as a placement. Avoiding price drag, uncertainty, distraction.
